More Than Physiotherapy.

It's a place to exhale.

Healing looks different for everyone. My hope is to create a space where you feel truly heard, deeply supported, and confident that your care is tailored to you—not just your symptoms.

Meet Kirstyn

I knew I wanted to become a physiotherapist long before I understood exactly what the profession was.

Growing up as a competitive hockey and soccer player, I experienced firsthand how the right physiotherapist could restore confidence—not just movement. After my first injury, I remember thinking, this is what I want to do.

That passion never changed.

Today, more than twelve years into practice, I still consider it an incredible privilege to walk alongside people during some of life's most important transitions—whether that's preparing for birth, navigating new motherhood, helping a child reach developmental milestones, or supporting someone living with a complex chronic condition.

For me, healing has never been about treating one muscle or one painful joint. Our nervous system, emotions, movement patterns, environment, and daily life all influence recovery. My role is to understand the whole picture so we can create meaningful, lasting change together.

Outside the clinic, you'll usually find me with my husband and our two boys exploring the mountains, swimming in glacier-fed lakes, or enjoying good food with family and friends. Nature has always been where I feel most grounded—and it's a big part of why I created this space.

Navigating my own health journey

After a neck injury, a life-threatening health complication involving my baby, and a difficult COVID infection, my own health began to change. I developed hypermobility, POTS, MCAS, and chronic pain.

Living through complex health challenges changed the way I understand recovery. I learned firsthand that progress isn't always about pushing harder. For me, learning to support my nervous system while caring for my body physically, emotionally, and mentally became an important part of finding stability again.

That experience continues to shape the compassion, patience, and whole-person perspective I bring to my practice today.

Why Bearspaw?

Traditional clinics often ask people to heal in busy, clinical environments.

I dreamed of something different.

Nestled among the trees in Bearspaw, I wanted to create a sanctuary where you could begin to slow down before treatment even starts.

Whether you spend a few quiet moments by the pond, wander the trails, enjoy the contrast suite, or simply breathe deeply beneath the trees, every part of this property was intentionally designed to support healing.

This is a place to slow down.

A place to reconnect.

A place to exhale.

The Family Behind the Practice

People often ask what inspired this space.

The answer is simple—my family.

My husband and our two boys remind me every day how important it is to slow down, spend time outdoors, and create environments where people feel safe, welcome, and cared for. That same philosophy shapes every part of this practice.

I'd love to welcome you.

Whether you're preparing for birth, recovering after delivery, supporting your child, or navigating a complex health journey, I'd be honoured to walk alongside you.
